So other than LN2 use are these any better than a 980X?

What's the chances of getting a good one? I guess I want to know are the 990X all binned and better than a 980X or are some total crap too like the 980X's?

From what I could tell they are better then the 980's. Looks like most of them do 5 GHz on air too.

    because they arent worth scores

Seems retail 990x arent all amazing like the samples seeded to reviewers/benchers.
Mine here so far has -113C CB, and cant 1M above 6GHz
Will continue to work on it a while.

Just sounds catchy, and I think it was the name of the monster in the movie with the mechanical owl and Medusa

Kracken is indeed a sea monster :: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraken

Also in the film clash of the titans

Nice work, oh so close to the magic number

Just installed and started running my shiny new Kraken - went straight to 4Ghz and only needed to push up the voltage to 1.28 to fold at 30x133.
When I have more time over the next few weekends I will give her a push - hoping that these newer batches can reach good clocks.
