    MSI 890FXA-GD70 new 1.7 bios

    Hi all,

Just incase you have not check, bios version 1.7 is out
    http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=do...1&prod_no=2025

It is almost 2 weeks old now, but the reason I am posting this is that I could not get my pc to load windows with anything over 300 to 305 HTT on the 1.6 bios.
Yesterday it loaded with no problems at 315MHz with the new bios.

    Cheers

But not all MB are equal or have the same conditions to OC. Maybe the MB from our friend it's a little b*tch .

Well, I think it may be linked to my memory. The low HTT.
I have cheap 1.5V Samsung 1333MHz. I also read somewhere on the forums here that running the memory at higher voltage should help with reaching higher HTT.
Anyway when I tried it, it didn't seem to make a difference.
When I changed to this bios, I changed nothing except my multipliers down and was able to hit higher HTT.

I'm also a bit of a noob, so I am not sure which voltage help for HTT.
I haven't actually tried anything about 315MHz as I didn't have time, so there is a chance it can go higher.
