    Possibly, with another power connector supplying an additional 75W of power on paper to play with. Look around the power phase area too, the PCB mask for the missing power phase (3 in 6850 vs 4 in 6870) is there too... btw, this is all paper speculation of course.

    Seems i have a 'dud' card... I can only hit 975core 1050mem @ 1.3v :/ Anything higher just freezes computer

    Its a little disappointing because Ive been so lucky with good AMD hardware in the past unlocking and OCing
    (I was one of the lucky peeps who had a 'hidden' 8pipe 9700Pro locked away in my 4pipe 9500 hehe)


    ah well 5 fps in games isn't going to bother me much

    I've owned a few VisionTek's (they are common @ MicroCenter).
    No complaints from me, and they do honor they're warranty!
    I had an 800XT die after a couple years and they replaced it.
    It did take about 6 weeks to get it back though...
