I could see spursindonia having to take a small trip. I wonder how much Antilles is going to cost.

I can't wait to see how they perform, i always like new tech, and especially with the architecture of cayman.

6950 will be a bit out of my price range, but i may just have to get one anyway if they're on level with a 480 then i would be very happy with that performance. However, we will have to see what the GTX 570 offers (but i think it's pretty much obvious anyway).

I mean, if it's about performance AND price AND power, AMD has been annihilating Nvidia for quite some time. But even if it's just performance, AMD's been on top for quite a while again. So what is your criteria, exactly?
    Very well said

And let me add that even when GTX580 is indeed the fastest single GPU card now, it is not a good deal against something like HD6850 CF (I know , I know , two cards but who cares ! We want best performance for cheaper + less power consumption)

I tried HD6870 CF , HD6850 CF and GTX580 and let me tell you that HD6850 CF beats GTX580 in most games and sometimes with a large margin, and for 360$ VS 530$ for the GTX580 , so AMD wins hands down

I should get the HD6900 pretty soon too

Agreed, with those prices, one can conclude that HD 6950 will be around GTX 480 performance, while HD 6970 will be FASTER than GTX 580 (which can easily drop its price to anticipate HD 6970 absolute performance).

I don't think AMD will risk a very bad press that their card will come later than competition, perform just as fast or infact slower like what you've insinuated, but cost as much while loosing on feature front (hey, CUDA & PhysX are still great selling checkboxes for the green team). It will be directly stamped as a FAILURE by reviewers out there.

Yep, no worry, i'll keep my bet & promise. But only happily taking that 6 months hiatus if HD 6970 does have monstrous performance, if not, i'll be begrudgingly turning into an nVidiot, i swear !

Not the first time that they misspelled speed...

hint: this 6950 looks too small (looks like an edited 6850 slide) also note that the space after the + before HDMI is missing, AGAIN.

6870 is even bigger.... (this slide is likely to be false too, fyi)
