    URGENT: Foxconn Bloodrage + 4GB Mushkin DDR3 modules = no POST

    OK so I bought a 12GB kit (which I'm now thinking was a bad idea) and it arrived today after nearly two weeks of waiting.

    Mushkin Silverline 3x4GB 1333MHz 9-9-9-24 @ 1.5v, 998770

    (P09 BIOS)
    Installed it, no POST.
    Cleared CMOS, no POST.
    Took out two modules so I had only one 4GB module installed, still no POST.

    (Flashed to G44 BIOS and reset CMOS)
    Same as above, system simply refuses to POST with the 4GB modules.

    In either case, system doesn't post but the LED display shows: E8 -> 01 -> b2 -> 00 looping

    For the moment I'm back to using my trusty 2x1GB D9JNL, but I need more than 2GB for my system!!

    So is the ram just incompatible, or should I try something else (like repeatedly kicking my computer in a blind rage )

    Thanks for the response zsamz

    Looks like the memory just isn't compatible - the guy I bought it from is speaking to a mushkin tech to find out whether or not it's a bad batch.

    Not to worry though, just bought a 6GB Corsair XMS3 kit, will make do with 6GB for now. I'll get 12GB later when I find a kit that's guaranteed to work.
