that's definately a fake. just look at the pattern of the gpus. both gpus have exactly the same shading and texture.
makes me wonder why these people don't put more effort in modifying copied parts - it always seems like as if they want people to see it's a fake especially since everything else in this fake was done pretty well.

Guru3D got 53 FPS for the 1GB and 46 FPS for the 768MB.
Settings:
Baja Iron Route 1
8x Anti-Aliasing
16x Anisotropic Filtering
All settings maxed out
I never played Dirt 2, but is there anymore demanding levels then this?
You're right pals ! Numberz doesn't seem accurate concerning GTX 460
not to sound dumb. but is it possible they forgot to turn on dx11 in that test guru3d?
the bottom chart which has 5000 series cards shows the 5850 just ahead of all 460s, which i though would have demolished it with tessellation on
heres from TPU which DOES NOT have dx11 enabled
notice that in this with 4x AA vs 8x,
the 5850 is 77fps vs that one being 64
and the 460s are 58-61 vs 46-62 (alot of cards compared in the guru3d article)
im under the impression guru3d did not turn on dx11 settings. otherwise it somehow seems like it was "free"

Palit Sonic Platinium GTX 460(800/4000) scores 61 FPS .
We will see but Ati can do that much magic, i mean you think that a 960SP card will equal an 1440SP( 6850= 5850? ) , and 1120SP = > 1600SP( 5870) ?
I don't think so.
I think that 6850 performance will be between GTX 460 768MB an 1GB closer to 1gb version( between 5830 an 5850), and 6870 will be above GTX 460 1GB an slightly above 5850 more or less, so between 5850 and 5870.

I don't see how that card can preform better, with the same amount of tessellation units as 5870 or perhaps a bigger one ?

Four crossfire connectors and 17 memory ICs? That's not even a very good photoshop.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.
Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.
Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.
Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.
Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.
Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!
Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.
90% of the Dirt 2 numbers I have seen in reviews seem to be incorrect due to the use of the early stand-alone Dirt 2 benchmark, improper implementation of forced DX11 or using an old version of the game engine (patches have increased performance quite a bit).
