i7 950 + XFX 5970 Black Ed - input wanted

Hi all,

Just wanting some input on a system I am in the process of building.

I have an i7-950 and an XFX 5970 Black edition I plan on putting in a dual loop.
My only concern is I only have 2 x 240 rads one for cpu and gpu.

Will these rads be suffice in cooling these items?

There's an EK block on the GPU and still hunting for a sufficient water block.
I am tempted to use my "Cathar G5" block from my 775 system, as the Rampage Gene II has 775 and 1366 mounting points.
I will be running dual pumps but with a shared res due to case size restrictions.
All fittings are 1/2 ID.

you do realize that dual loop on a single res means single loop, right?

Anyway, yes 2 x 240 is enough for that setup.

Yes, i am aware of that.
I should have put individual block feeds to be more precise.
Just so used to saying dual loop... oops.

Thanks for your input tho.
Might have to bench it all and run some heat soak tests once my final components arrive.

Running whats in sig (basically 2x220;s)and crunching full load on cpu and gpus with 70c cpu and 45c gpu's if that helps.
