Is it time to go with AMD

Just looking at building my self a new Christmas Present! Just looking at a Asrock 890FX with USB 3.0 and Sata 6Gb/s for around US $170 and AMD II X6 1055T 2.8Ghz at US $225. Since its Christmas and I have been a good boy I my get the 1090T 3.2Ghz.

All the other costs would be equale for RAM,PSU etc etc etc etc......

Intel has nothing in the price rage to match this at the moment, is anything on its way that will give me this bang/$ of $400?

Looks like the Asrock 890GX Extreme3 is available on Newegg.com.cn for around US $130 so I nice $40 saving. The Asrock boards have a USB 3.0 header so you can give your front USB ports the option of USB 2 or 3 support and Asrock are the only ones offering this I can find.

Or there is a brand you may not have see before Unika at around US $105

So maybe able to go for the AMD 1090T

Since Asrock became independent from ASUS they have gone up market and in price. I use to use their boards a lot as replacements for failed IBM boards I had in school after maintance contracts had expired.

The Asrock boards have one USB 3.0 header on the board so you can use it for the from or put a usb back plate into the back. Thanks for the info on the 95W version, my save my electric bill. I may want to go PICO Power for a silent build.
