    GSkill DDR3 2000 CL6-9-6-24 1.65V (F3-16000CL6D-4GBPIS) and some tests

    GSkill DDR3 2000 CL6-9-6-24 1.65V (F3-16000CL6D-4GBPIS)

Seldom to play high frequency RAM Kit, just received a pair of Gskill DDR3 2000 CL6 ram....here is the "OPEN BOX"

    The BOX

Comes with a dual fan with the Kit

Some kind of protection to minimise damage during shipping:

With black in color heatsink and some fins to enhance heat spreading, BTW, it is not HOT when running

    The Specification: DDR3 2000 CL6-9-6-24 1.65V

    The manual:

    Blue light, seems so nice

    Test Platform:
    CPU: Intel i7 870 @ 200X20
    MB: Gigabyte P55A-UD3R
    RAM; Gskill F3-16000CL6D-4GBPIS
    SSD: Adata S599 256G
    Display Card: Inno3D GTS450
    PSU: Enermax Galaxy 850W

Burning with the original specification seems very boring, I directly jump to play with DDR3 2400 CL8 Memtest, directly boot into windows @ DDR3 2400 CL8 without any problem

Except CL8-11-8 & 1T, other I set it to AUTO in BIOS, fine tune will be needed if you want to have higher bandwidth, in my test, I want to max-out the freq. first

    Memtest @ DDR3 2400 CL8-11-8-31-134-1T @1.68V Memtest 300% Passed, Everest Bandwidth = 20105MB/s

    Memtest @ DDR3 2400 CL8-11-8-31-134-1T @ 1.68V 1000% Passed

Running 3D without problem, simple test by 3DVantage:

    And then, directly boot into windows ~ DDR3 2500 @ 1.74V and push to highest freq. @ CL8-11-8, 1T

    Everest Bandwidth = 21475 MB/s

    The Validation @ DDR3 2568 CL8-11-8-31:

Comparsion of DDR CL6-9-6-24-72-1T VS CL8-11-8-31-134-1T for SPI 32M performance

    DDR3 2000 CL6-9-6-24-72-1T, 9m16.500s

    DDR3 2400 CL8-11-8-31-134-1T, 9m15.984

    Obviously, with very loose Trfc & TRas, DDR3 2400 CL8-11-8-31-134 still lead DDR3 2000 CL6-9-6-24.

After no stock of Hyper Chips Ram, seems PSC chips is worth to play as the better price and durability unless you are going for extreme benchmarking.

I can't remember I lost how many 3-channel Hyper Ram, still have 2 sets in RMA, but told me no more Hyper for replacement

Price in Hong Kong is very nice, just HK$1400 ~ US$180
6GB kit still has no stock, once I got it I will test it in X58. Thanks for reading!

Nice results and very attractive price.

Some cold would help to lower the latencies. But you should do some bclock tests on your cpu(s) first, so this doesn't hold your memory back. Keep pushing it!

what's your cpu ? for AMD you need very nice IMC to make it stable at over 2000, and it's only works on SixCore

Dam nice Psc's... Might be my next g skill kit!

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Sorry to bump this thread, but at the OP, can you try 8gb and see how well these clock? I need a good kit from 8gb-12gb..
