2 pumps on a loop question

I have two pumps and a few reservoirs and two rads but I think my 800D is too crowded when I have separate loops for CPU/GPU. I think I want to ditch my EK Multioption 250 and just run one loop using my D5 w/ EK X-TOP and the XSPC X2O 750 dual bay res/pump.

I'm worried about one of the pumps overpowering the other one and damaging the less powerful one though. Is it okay to use two pumps on the same loop if they aren't identical? Thanks.

One pump will do just fine. Keep the one you like most and ditch the rest.

my mcp655 handles 1 loop with 2 triple rads, cpu, 2 gpus and is in a cube mountainmod case so tubing is pretty long. Still good temps and flow.

when your target is 1gpm just about every modern pump can do that even on super restrictive blocks.
You've got to remember that as a hobby we went from super free flowing blocks and relatively lower flow radiators ( compaired to the blocks )
and now we have really restrictive blocks ( and the same restriction bassically for rads ).
and people have actually scientifically determined that airflow is much more important than pump flow for actual degrees.

Grab Skinnee's Flow Calculator. and check it out

wow, thanks for that! After using the flow rate estimator I now:
-understand p/q curves and the relationship between pressure and flow rate
-understand how adding numerous components affects the curve
-understand that the old EK supreme is super restrictive
-understand what it is like to have your head asploded
-have had my assumptions about water cooling and loops redefined!

Wait do they have rep at XS? If so how do you give it?

all newer Blocks are super restrictive, that's how we get the good temps ; )

Ditto, in a Lian Li. The flow is not fantastic but it works well enough.

    24/7 running quiet and nice
