    like this?
the cups make it much easier to hit the pot on GPU's when you're using the slim's. Without the cups I end up getting as much on the board as I do into the pot. I've never had to use them on a CPU pot though, and that includes benching with Gatman pacing all over the place.

    wow virgin inside i like

me interested in that plastic dip stuff....that's pretty cool. Does it bubble up when under LN2?

definitely make sure it is a ventilated area mate, you dont want to risk it, also dont bench bare foot lol and if it hits you skin you just gotta shake it off because as long as LN2 is not trapped on your skin for longer than a few seconds you wont have any burn marks

buy a mapp gas torch if you dont already have one it will help you pull up temps very fast. Heatgun or hair dryer will do for the first session if you have no way of getting it this weekend.

do a livestream so we can watch a virgin in action

just search plasti dip. In the US, you can usually get at harware stores. It is great stuff for coating gpus and mobos, and keeping it thin. Obvioulsy it isn't insulation, but rather a method of keeping any condensation off the board. Plasti dip, paper towels, and armaflex.

Just be sure to get the paint/dip on kind, the spray doesn't work very well.

Also +1 on the livestream Q. That would be great!

Wait, then what is plastic/conformal spray?

Also, in my earlier post i said plasti-dip, paper towels and armaflex, but i forget to mention neaded eraser.

We prefer not to use cups, on the GPUs and most of the time, running the F1EE without anything aswell.

Will post some pics later. Have a CB @-125. How do I get past that...or is that it...stuck @-125?. Stock or OC, It CB's @-125c & appears to have a CBB at anything lower than -125C. Ughhhh!

Still working on it...spent about 8.5 hours yesterday and can't get past 5Ghz vantage cpu bench. CB @ -125c and it won't boot at lower temps.

I think I used quite a bit of LN2 my first session...dewar is pretty light, LOL! Man, I tell ya, you were right Dinos, the temp pull down once the base is heated up is wicked fast. I only have a heat gun, but I hit it 30-45 sec's with the gun, and from then on temps drop like 10C in 3-4 secs. Got quite a bit of practice in warming up temps beyond the CB, LOL! The first few times I over shot it and was at -183c...wish I had a pic of that, LOL!

I'm kind of discouraged at the OC-ability of my chip at LN2 temps....it's not proving to be too much better than sub-zero chilled liquid, which is not much better than ambient water cooling. I just flashed to a different BIOS, so we'll see if that helps.

Anyway, here are some pics. And a quick videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAROGx11AR8

I didn't need an extra attachment to extend the liquid withdrawal nozzle. Nor did I need gloves, lol!

Both the thermos and the carafe with spout worked great!

Are the pressure valves of your dewar working properly? Looks like ~18psi inside

A lot of chips have similar CB and they hit 6GHz no problem. It's also normal to have a CBB with higher temp than the CB, that's what your torch is for. Looks like you did well for a first time out to me

This tank is setup for higher internal pressure than typical WD device. The reason for that is the dewar/WD mouting, it's not just a rubber stopper stuck in the hole...it's mounted with machine screws and can take more pressure. My dewar has the same neck/top, if I get around to it I'll be making one very similar to this. If we could see the marking on the pop-off valve, I'm pretty sure it would have 18-20 somewhere in the part number indicating its factory set pressure.

Yes, I was most worried about that, but the valves are 22psi valves, which the airgas guy said is common and completely normal. Airgas filled it and had it for 24 hours before I picked it up, and the guy said it held steady at about 20psi. It's been holding around that for days now.

The guy was pretty excited about what I was going to do with the LN2. He said he is an ex-cryogenic lab technician, and they used to have all kinds of fun with LN2. They would take horse flies, freeze them, and then watch them come back to life, LOL!

They didn't even have to remove the withdrawal device. They just filled it through the liquid side. Took about 25 minutes to fill he said.

G, But how do I get it to boot, and then get past the CB? I have to boot warmer than the CB, but then I can't get past the CB.

don't some motherboards have a function that disables the cold boot thing so you can just boot in?
