    Another insulation question

Is this sufficient insulation for -106c? Should I put dialectric grease in the ram slots? How about the top pcie slot?

I know it's not pretty, I had to use all the eraser I had. I just dont want to fry anything so any constructive suggestions will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

That looks good enough to me, however I would put some dialectric grease in the ram slot/s closest to the CPU. I doubt the PCI-E needs it unless your video card is going subzero.

haha that is overkill for cascade I insulate from the chokes to the dimm slots and from the northbridge to the edge of the board. backside gets a paper thin layer of eraser that covers the pins of the first two dimm slots and goes past the solder joints for the chokes and from the northbridge to meet with the edge of the board. I routinely just power off the cascade, warm up the evap to 30 Celsius, and leave the rig. No need to tear apart if there is a perfect vapor seal for the socket

No need for vaseline in the dimm slots. That's really only a problem below -150 Celsius.

I've had problems before near the 1st ram slot, to the caps left of the waterblock all the way to the caps on the top of the board.
I even had condensation on the backplate through the eraser and foam when letting the pc idle too long at around -48c It is VERY humid here and I dont want to fry another board so better safe than sorry.
Thanks for your input, the cascade should arrive today, Im really looking foreward to benching this afternoon

Great I'm going with it! The video card isnt going sub zero at the moment, but I have a modified mach I that I've been considering for that purpose either as a waterchiller or direct die, by modding it for the 2 gpu's.

I don't think a mach I even modded would handle 2 gpus, probably struggle on one gpu.

To prevent condensation, you could put some paper towels between the eraser and the armaflex insulation. Also some fans blowing on the board helps.

Crap!!! I was hoping it would. I have a 5970 and was told it wouldn't put out more than 175w heatload overclocked. I was able to run a 1090t with this machI @ 4621 while benching 3d mark vantage.
It has a bigger condensor, chilly1, r404 and bigger 38mm fans,
but If it wont work I guess I'll just sell it.
