Does anyone have a clue of BR will work with up coming ATI 6000 series

Hey guys does anyone have a clue if the Bloodrage should work with the new Radeon series 6000s coming out soon? I know it had issues with the Nvidia 400 series card. Just wondering.

Issue was nVidia fault, not BR not Foxconns. ATI doesnt seem to fail to communicate with mobo manufacturers. So I think 99% chance that it will work as good as any other ATi card..

So far, every combo I made with full working ATi card, simply worked.. why it should change?

BR isnt different from other mobos.. not that much to not be capable of using every graphic card you throw at it, unless graphic card manufacturer screwd something really hard.

True... thx for the reply. I am hoping to push this set up till the next socket comes out. Only major upgrades I see is Radeon HD 6000 series and/or 980x but that's all.

Well, you can get higher clocks and two more cores. Though for a very high price.

X68 will be probably different platform, maybe octa-cores, maybe even more.. though, if you like me, only game and do some easy graphical stuff (PhotoShop for me), dont think theres much reason for 980X or better..

Though, Im looking forward to see what will be replacement of my HD 5770. If 6770 will be true upgrade and worth it, why not..

I guess you want more powerfull solution, right?

Rumors are the new HD 6770 should be similar in performance as the HD 5870 but without the price. I will wait to see though.

Thats exactly what I hope for.. cause HD 5770 has quite similar performace to HD 4870.

So what was the problem with the GTX 400 series and motherboards? I know it wouldn't post, but I'm looking for a more technical/fundamental understanding.

    memory allocation...
during the posting process and boot process a system kinda evolves and goes through the evolutionary stages of a pc, much like a baby that grows in a womb ^^
it starts with one core and no cache, then enables the cache bit by bit, then reserves a tiny amount of memory, then a bit more, then enables all memory and then enables all cores...
this is just a rough idea, there are more detailed steps and i might have mixed some up
read the bios post codes and check in what order they are running on a board, and you get a good idea of how the system slowly starts up and enables one piece at a time

during one stage of booting the vga bios will be "invoked" which means it will be copied to main memory and then executed
thats where vga incompatibilities happen, if there is not enough memory available at that time of the post process, its not formatted properly, its overwriting something else, the timings is wrong, the vga bios doesnt follow the guidelines, or, the mainboards bios doesnt follow the guidelines to speed up the boot process etc... something goes wrong

thats why if theres a problem using only one stick of mem sometimes helps, or changing the memory hole options in bios helps...
and its also why 1 card usually works but 2 or more cards can cause a problem cause each card is loading its bios into memory and that can cause a mess again...
and its also why using raid and lan boot roms and other additional roms can cause a problem, the more roms you get, the more problems you run into...

Looks like it will be release Oct 12 possibly. I might wait on the Cayman series and get one card... idk yet.

Well, this will be new high-end I guess. I will wait for my mainstream.. There isnt much games that doesnt work on HD 5770, I dont think they will make something for which HD 6770 wont be enough.

No there saying the 6870 will be equivalent in marketing/price to the 5770. This will be the mainstream.
Hopefully I will get a few customers that will want to upgrade a few of these models so I can see how they roll
    I will keep u updated.
