this crap never happened in the old days... this is why most of us old school OC'ers do everything in the bios... it may be more time consuming... but I think loosing a CPU is a much bigger waste of time

lol, then there is even further back in time when we used jumpers... do you kids these day even know what a jumper is? before too long we wont even have jumpers for the bios... it will be all buttons

Had the exact same thing on my R2E. Luckily under water, I think it came through ok. I wanted to use the software to lower voltages while in windows to see what worked. Just trying to save time. Not anymore.

for sure I have never used TurboV, and only Easytune a few times on the UD3P/UD3R. On the Gigabyte boards it would just freeze the system every time I would apply any change (i.e. voltage decrease or increase, FSB increase or decrease)

sucks to here especially since it was a good batch

Unluckily, TurboEvo was the first program which for my convenience I used to use. Now I'm permanently back to BIOS.

Asustek, it's time to hire better developers!

Jumpers and DIP switches weren't idiot proof either, I learnt the concept of overclocking from them I set the jumpers to 66MHz FSB instead of 60MHz et voila! - my Pentium 120 was suddenly a Pentium 133
