Doc Overclock - from Motherboards.org - who fronts a band that was to play is laid up in the hospital and still making regular vids, like his latest unboxing of a Canon 60D (in hospital bed w/ IV in his arm). Glad to see he in good spirits in the video

I know that even if this is scrubbed we will definitely have a lot of opportunities to meet up

Hopefully things will work out... the XS gathering is kinda my main reason for going to CES--the show itself is pretty damn boring after you've already attended a few times. Granted, that statement makes me wonder why I'm showing up on Wednesday and staying until Sunday...

I suppose that one can argue it's a networking opportunity, but I live in the middle of nowhere now so I'm not entirely certain of the value of said networking.

I hope it works out. It's always been fun. I contibute squat to the last 2 parties except some hand cash to the effort/party, it's sooo nice to meet n greet everyone.

Fugger, if it needs downsized thats fine, as long as we meet somewhere. No open bar? I'll bring a keg or two. Last year booze wasn't missed I think. I missed it........

Doesn't need to be bigger and better than last year, but we gotta have something. I'm local Las Vegas (Channel 8 LOL) and will help as I can. Just ask.

    Hold the line!

After a few calls, the broken was fixed and I will have a firm answer of yes early next week. This is the first year for Asus participating and I do not do anything "standard" so when this was reviewed higher up, not enough information was known for it to be passed, I start the planning months in advance and I start with a basic outline and go from there as I get confirmations from many people throughout the next two months.

So lets hear some encouragement for Asus, we do care and like a 6 year old kid going to disney land, tell him he can't go in when you are at the gate and see what happens.

Glad you did it again Fugger. Glad ASUS wasn't dropping out, it was just a communication issue. Thanks ASUS, it really means a lot to us attendnerds.

Here in Brazil usually we can see the sponsors pull out in the last hour of the events.
Still, there is a mobilization of overclockers and we gather many of us, take hardware and make the sessions fun watered benchmarks and overclocking without having to ask for these sponsors of shyt
I think we don t need ASUS, GB, MSI, etc to do a funny overclock party...
Sure if some sponsor (like ASUS, GB, MSI, etc) helps will be good...but imho we don t need to cancel the party if there are no sponsor.
    Is only "my" opinion...
Further...i will travel about 10000 miles to be there

I still need to get tickets and book a hotel... But I plan on attending CES, and I plan on having a flight that allows for me to show up to this event. Unlike last year...

I might make a name tag.

OK for the record, just to set things straight, yes i agreed and yes i pulled out and yes i agreed again. We are officially back on board with the XS CES PARTY!

I let fugger know in advance so that he had enough time to create a backup plan or find another sponsor. I didn't want to be the douchebag type that flakes the last hour. At the same time i was still fighting to get back in. There was just a miss communication and everything is fixed! Moving forward, lets have fun.
