my understanding was the actual party is free.

The events unless stated are not.

So the UFC match, you had to buy tickets, but watching conumdrum get drunk and other people drunk was free.

If your talking about the show, its free for some, and others have to pay.
Depends on when you register, and how you registered.

they did play, i think i was on of the 10 who sat though one of there songs.
But i can understand them... more people were interested in peter's gpu then the band.

Seriously tho.. i never expected it to get the board.
I wanted to see peter's cards break the gpu records.
    they were absolutely insane!

Lemme explain this to you guys.
    Its a 480 with half a 580 (the voltage regs) soldered onto the 480;s so they can get more voltage! = 1.5 gpu's a 480 + the rear section of a 580
Frankenstien GPUS!! The station required 3 Antec 1200 + 1 cheapo psu, and it couldnt even pull all the power from 1 socket on the wall.

The board just came as i saw them break the record.
Gautum goes WOOT! we broke record.
    I went woot finally!
Brian comes in with 6 asus boards and goes who do we give these too to charles?

My face grows a very big grin!
It was 4 580s with the GPU VRM from 4 480s powering the memory circuit. Sham was pushing 2.1v through the memory via the GTX 480 VRM which was impossible with the stock GTX 580 VRM. Those cards were beasts

Here are a few quick photos... I may have to have the lens I was using checked out, though, because I was having issues with focus all through CES. It also doesn't help that the camera's built-in flash is useless (should have brought a real one but didn't think of it).

Here's a brief video of that crazy rig: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKOD-Vrga9U

    Coasters that Mountain Mods provided:

...and that photo of Jeremy (DD), myself, Eddy (EK), Gabe (Swiftech), and Dennis (DD) that Charles was mentioning:

As usual, it was an awesome event and I had a great time--a big thanks goes out to to Charles and all of the sponsors who helped to make the event possible.

Hey, I took your advice, but given that my only other forum post hardly counts as a blog, I had a tough time getting in, but I managed it with the help of a friend from another website. Check it out:

You couldn't fit more than 10 people there to begin with, the cubicle walls were in the way, I thought they'd take those down and use that whole hallway.

I was so confused. I thought we could win one from a raffle for registered on RoG, then it's like wait-whut? take a box? i picked up the first one that i knew was sandy bridge, didn't even see it was a pro, not a deluxe, I was so tired I didn't even realise the other boxes were different mobos, I thought there were only 2 kinds of motherboards there, the letters man, I couldn't read them until you pointed out they were different models and different sockets, lol

We did! The amazing trip to the store, it was magical. You are the fine Corsair rep that made it happen? Yes it was you! Thanks so much. Was a great drive with Gabe and you. Me likie Gabes wife's car. Getting the beer run right helped the party reach perfect harmony.

I feel like a lucky man to be there, seeing records broke and humanity at great intellect levels made my night perfect. I really remember little, I was hammered. Thanks for the ride home Distructor Beam!

Gaa, I gosshing on how much fun that was.

Figures, Darth did the big score, even with the Boss there.

Richard, your wife is a great woman, so glad she could be part of our silly curse.

Brian needs to buy a 3D setup now, LOL.
