GF100 & True Copper/Convex lapped

For quite some time i want to play a little with a hot vga card and a cpu cooler. The right time has come, GF100 time.

I choose my convex lapped True Copper (details here, from post 26), PK-1 thermal paste, and here it is:

Very interesting way to cool it down y have an ultra 120A i think i will give it a try

No backplate, pressure is not good.

Temps ~40c max on stock and ~45c max at 1138mV/Fur xtreme burning mode

Go custom. Shouldn't be too hard IF you have the proper tools.

HMM. When you think about it, this might work even better in a case: get one of those full towers that have provision for both top and bottom PSU mount. Then mount the PSU up top. On the bottom provide a stand to support the top of the heatsink to keep it from pulling on the vidcard. Might work, and then you'd never have to worry about gpu temps again.

what a dangerous procedure this must have been with all those tie wraps. luckily the g100 is fine on its own and using a true for the GPU HSF is nuts and placing a san ace. i would never thought it would fit

I got myself two of those with the aluminum frame (6k) - jesus you were so right... it actually takes off... I feel that someone will get hurt
