    Painted heatsink RMA?

Hey everybody, i had bought these 3 gig Corsair XMS platinum DDR 3 merory a while back and wanted to match the color scheme of my classified mobo, so i taped up the memory modules and painted the heatsinks RED... the memory has been fine for the past year but has recently failed. my question is: can i still RMA it?

Very Very Very unlikely But wth whynot call em and see what they say!
EDIT: just a thought if you can remove the heatsinks you may try some paint stripper.
