    just got my cooler master hyper212plus and phenom2x4 955be installed on my asrock870 extreme3 mobo but in bios and in windows it's speed is stuck at 2.8gigahertz instead of it's 3.2gigahertz speed.Before installing this processor i had an athlon2x2 240 regor which ran at 2.8ghz speed,how do i get the new processor to run at it's normal maximium speed?

    Your multiplier is probably set to 14x in the BIOS still if you didn't reset CMOS. Set it to 16x.

    Also check that "cool n quiet" feature is unenabled, because it pulls donw the frequency when is not needed...

    already had cool and quiet disabled in bios.Got it running at 3.7ghz stable right now with 1.36voltage,nb frequency at 2200mhz,still trying to get it stable at 3.8ghz and up.
