    My tec Loop

    Hi Guys

I'v build a WC tec loop using a Coolit Freezone. I changed the metal rad to a closed wc loop: Pump-Rad(one from CoolerMaster Aquagate duo Viva)-Hot WaterBlock-pump.

I sandwiched 2 series of 3 91.2w tec ( I changed thoses from the Freezone, they where about ~50w each)

When the loop is not pluged on my WC, the cold block get frozen:

If I plug it in the main WC loop, the cold block get an increase of temp by 3-4oC when I start the tec Loop... 29.4oC when stopped, 33.5oC when started. The Cold block even gets hotter then the hot block... D=~2-3oC

What is wrong with this loop?!?

What is the cold side hooked up to? CPU? GPU?

But even in idle, the cold plate get an increase of temp when I start the Tec Loop...

So am I to believe that you have a TEC stacked on top of another TEC? If so that's your entire problem. The bottom layer of TECs is moving the heat effectively but adding so much that the top layer cannot move it. So the bottom layer heats up. With no load it's less likely that it would be noticed.

Yes I have a sandwich of 2 tec: 2 layer of 3 tecs, total, 6. So "just" 3 tec serial wired will be enough? I'll try it tomorrow and give new later, thanks!

    COMPLETE FAIL

Don't stack the TEC's . IE only have one layer .

Stacking TEC's DECREASES the amount of heat that can be moved NOT increase it .

See this post i made on this subject a few days ago

Yeap, the sandwich idea shouldn't be that great. And I hope that, 3.4 isn't you final frequency. I used to had a q9550@4.25 under a TRUE120, no drama at all...

it's not a good idea . IT's a fail. if you knew anything about TEC's . which you dont you'd know that.

People commenting on things they no nothing about is probably why he tried this in the first place

    ok ok People!

My normal working is 3.4ghz, maxboot: 4.4ghz.

I try to stack the 2 layers of tec because it was easier to do first with the setup the Freezone already had...

I'll try today with juts one row of 3 tec: original @ ~50w and those @ 92w to see the difference.
