Thanks I'll keep trying different things....maybe I'll do what splave did and plug into my neighbor's outlet

Does anybody know whether is possible to install Accelero Extreme Plus instead of Twin Frozr cooling on Lightning with keeping the back plate,VRMs and memory heat sink?
I don't have the card yet, but I think I will have it soon so I'm just curious whether is possible to replace only GPU heatsink with (better I think) accelero extreme plus one

The Duke just did a review of the lightning and he really liked it. Great overclocking potential, and all of those features they packed in for power regulation and voltage control can't be beat.

    Hi Guys

New to the forum. Love the site, it's full of great info.

I'm hoping for a bit of advice from you pros! I have my 480Lightning on chilled water. GPU load temps are around 35 - 40'C I have had it stabily running for a while now @ 960/1200 with +137mV (approx 1.24V) on the core and +120mV (approx 1.7V) on the Memory with a touch of aux voltage for good measure. I got to 960 so easily and now have seem to hit a nuclear reactor sized concrete wall!!! I am just met with lockups and grey screens no matter what I do to the voltages. Any ideas guys?

Would it make any differences switching to the other on board bios?

I have tried with and without overcurrent protection on, which makes no difference at all.

    Any comments will be appreciated.

    Sie

That BIOS is for sub-zero use, don't think that will help you. Voltage can only take you so far, you need more cold like dino's mentioned.
