Downgrade custom WC to Complete Kit e.g. Coolit ECO C240 A.L.C.?

I am currently running the following WC setup in my NZXT Tempest:

    Swiftech MRC220 Rad
    2 x 140mm Noctua fans (Pull), 1 120mm Gentle Typhoon & 1 100mm Kaze (Push)
    Swiftech Apogee GTZ CPU Block
    XSPC X2O Delta Chipset Block
12V Laing DDC-1T (Pro or Ultra - cant remember) with XSPC Top
    Swiftech MCRES Micro Revision 2
    10/8mm compression fittings & tubing

I need to clean it again, but I am thinking of getting rid of it and going for a all in one kit that will have less chance of a leak and won't require me to clean it every 6-9 months or so (I don't OC my PC as much any more). I know an all in one kit won't be as good but will say the CoolIt ECO C240 A.L.C. (with my current fans) be able to cool my Q9550 @ 3.6ghz @ stock volts? I will just get a chipset HS and fan additionally.

Also would the CoolIt rad be able to fit in my Tempest (it is physically smaller that the Swiftech MRC220)?

If you're running stock volts and tired of real water cooling, you could just as easily switch over to top-end air cooling (and still end up saving money over other all-in-one kits).

That is true, is the CoolIt 240 only as good as top end air cooling?

I don't see it doing any better than your current setup, and for the price I just don't see it being worth it over air. That's my opinion.

Pure distilled and not mixed metals, with a kill coil or PT-Nuke/Biocide should require little maintenance.
I'm using 7/16 ID tubing over 1/2 OD barbs with hose clamps and unless a thread or o-ring leaks I am leakproof.

(I don't plan on cleaning my loop anytime soon)
That said, the Eco 240 should beat most high-end air. Not sure how reliable that pump is though.

You'll still need to clean the radiator from time to time and if you do get the CoolIt 240, you have to join notsoextremesystems.org.

if everything is properly cleaned, radiator flushed, and you rush only distilled + silver killcoil, you can leave your system alone for a good 1 1/2+ years without caring much about maintenance..

    Rofl.

I am considering going back to air, as my main reason is the security of not having a leak and I am not OCing as much now as I used to.

I had a custom WC setup and then just went back to air, and not even that high end of air either (S1283). I stopped OCing to super speeds and voltages and was fine with "mild" overclocks to 3.7Ghz or so, since the performance is well beyond what I "need" for any game or program, and the Mhz/Watt=$ was better. The lack of needing to worry about a leak is nice as well.

That said, I am viewing this WC forum once again for pretty much the exact opposite reason now. The liquid has been calling to me from the box in my closet...

Leaks really shouldn't be an issue.

Like I said though, just move back to air. If you're worried about things like that, and not pushing your OC much, then even an all-in-one WC solution is overkill.

Not yet, but every time my PC makes a funny noise I get worried.

I might do, but it depends which coolers would fit as my Ram have tall headsinks on them (so no Noctua D14). Need to find out if the Venomous X would fit

Agreed. Steer clear of the CoolIT... Check out the TEC section for reasons why

If you were to downgrade then I agree with others here, go top end air. If you still want to use some sort of water then maybe consider *gasp* an H50 or 70. ... I bought a corsair H50 to play around with for my wife's build. The cooler seems to be only slightly better than the TRUE, but I later learned that the gains re mostly due to the way it pulls in external air (vs the TRUE using case air to cool).

I have read reviews on that ECO thing.
It doesnt seem well made, QC needs brushing up for it to be safe to put near decent hardware.
