TEAM.AU EXTREME OVERCLOCKING
On Friday the 13th of August we all gathered together from all parts of Australia and Indonesia for a TEAM.AU reunion, as it had been a long time since we had all caught up for some fun.
Gigabyte had very generously helped fund this event with a big thanks to Dinos22 for his organization.
With ample amounts of hardware to play with thanks to Gigabyte Motherboards, Corsair, Areca and Benq, there was no shortage of parts and systems to play with.
Everything started off great as Kayl and Youngpro started to hit 4 x GTX480 testing and modding, while Uncle Fester and Dinos22 worked on binning some of the CPUs we had available. While this in itself was fun, we unfortunately did not have much luck; the 480's were not playing nice and the CPUs were only very typical.
Pro and Dino did have fun with the Areca raid controller and an arse load of SandForce based SSD Drives playing with PC Mark Vantage and 05, and they did manage to nail the fastest SSD based PCMARK Vantage as well as 200K HDD score
This is the compare link to the 35K score (#3 i think)

T_M arrived to the gathering early on Saturday morning, but since we had all been up drinking heavily most of the previous night we did not hear him come to the house, and he had to wait nearby at McDonalds for us to wake up hahahaha ( sorry Tim ).
Saturday's activities saw us taking to at least 4 different systems in parallel, all trying to push each one in a different direction.
Pro and Dino continued to fiddle with PCMark Vantage, Kayl and UF mixed it up between 480 benching and a separate Gigabyte H55n system, and T_M made use of the large TV in the lounge to bench some dual 5870 '06 (which resulted in a new 38k PB).
As the day wore on and the 480's were not looking more promising than the day before, we set about some extra curricular activities such as freezing our balls off outside to smoke/drink, shoot nerf darts at M. Beier's avatar hanging in the benching room, and impersonating certain Taiwanese overclockers (much to everyone's amusement). Again the night produced extended drinking (+benching sessions) with nothing really worth reporting. Lousy cards, average CPUs, and boards dying left and right due to the abuse.
The culmination of the event was to push a 4 x GTX 480, UD9, 980X, GTX2 based system as hard as we could until the last drops of LN2 flowed on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, the scores that resulted are too embarrassing to show. However the video is not

Special thanks go out to GIGABYTE , CORSAIR, ARECA & BENQ.
Unfortunately team members eva2000 and bob(nz) were unable to attend this gathering
As you will see from the video and the photos below, we had an absolute blast catching up and having fun overclocking the hell out of everything in our grasp.
Until next time, look out for more big results from down under in the near future.[/SIZE]
