increasing voltage to an aging overclock

    hello,

i have the same motherboard listed in my sig. i had saved profiles of my overclocks. recently when i tried those profiles they fail. i'm positive they were good after running linx for almost 10 hours, on each.
i googled to find a similar problem. but the only thing i could find were references for the need to add voltage because capacitors get old, the article is from 2004.
i also tried different kits of memory from the same manufacturer thinking that would solve the issue. i currently use ballistix and changed the current set for a set of new ones i have laying around. changing memory did not help.
i'm thinking the power supply could also be another issue.
there's one more thing i thought strange. i've found my led fan, connected to the motherboard, would spin very slowly, as if almost getting ready to stop completely. could this be something with the power supply.

do i need to increase voltage to my components to make
my oc profiles work. just like they did when i originally
    created them?

maybe there's a possibility of an easy fix. thank you for the help.

Just wonder why don't you try to update to a newest BIOS and start again form everything set at default to see what happen. Hope that help.

yes, i hope its the ram too. althought i wasn't familiar with degradation.

i guess i'll be running tests for a while.

last night i put in a brand spanking set of ocz pc2-9200 and lowered its speed to pc2-6400. there were no problems after running linX for 10.5 hours. its strange that the extra set of ballistix died without use and the ones in use died by having less than two volts going through it. i want to be convinced that the two kits i bought on e**y were actually used. in essence, this support for a local brand disappoints me.
