might have missed the thread but i'm crunching away
I've been known to crunch the occasional work unit...

24/7 since 2008, single machine so numbers are nothing to brag about but loyal cruncher none the less.
Ci7 Wimpy
I've said this before but it bears repeating. It is the guys like you that "make" the team.
Yea, it's nice to be able to bring a ton of machines and that is appreciated but it's that guy with his single machine thats here every day that is the backbone of the team.
Thank you!

The XS WCG team needs your support.
A good project with good goals.
Come join us,get that warm fuzzy feeling that you've done something good for mankind.
I have not looked at all of these posts, but I have often wonder how many really active/full time members there are on the XS team. I'm now nr 516 and I joined april 13th this year. I my eyes (after 1 or 5 to many glasses of a good chablis) that must mean that on the XS team is a relatively small number of people pulling a huge amount of cpu hours. I'm so proud to be a part of it.

According to Boincstat we have a bit over 2000 members, but only 393 active members. Most members make huge numbers, but we also have some really loyal crunchers that don't necessary have the highest numbers per day, but contributed a ton over the years. Accoding you stats in your sig you are really doing well yourself too
I am and always have been really proud to be part of this team.

Had my 1 year crunching anniversary a few months back.
semi-actively following the forums, although I often have little relevant to add, so I don't.
Only an i7 2600k for me, but every thing counts.
Actually started crunching when I got it (and I got it in feb 2011).
First only 16 ish hours a day, now almost 24/7
Although Diablo 3 is eating some cpu hours :P

Every thread counts! To think about what we could do with more active people, just consider SC week. We pulled huge numbers for a while there!

Crunch with us, the XS WCG team
xs is and always will be the most dedicated team in wcg. we update regularly and oc our systems when we can. if we could get an ad on xs.com or somehow be more visible. the strong point we have got is the friendly people on here. it might be worth a thought as to if and how we can convince fugger to give us a little ad space, maybe in the teams section. btw does fugger crunch?
Tell it it's a :banana::banana::banana::banana: and threaten it with replacement
D_A on an UPS and life
I just keep running full speed on all 8 threads.
Occasional fps drop though when heavy graphics and heavy WU action seem to occur on the same moment.
Guessing this has something to do with something internally filling up (bus or something? not to familiar of inner workings).
Since I run from SSD and GTX 570 with plenty RAM and speed.
Only pause it during the big boss fight so I don't die then.

Wow, you guys dug up an old thread. As Dave said; its not about how many machines that you can add, its your dedication. Some members that have older machines and do not stop are still towards the top. I think some of the guys running older machines and keeping up is more amazing than running a bunch of the newer machines. However I opt for newer myself.
As said many times, its not how much you can contribute, but the fact that you are contributing. Every little bit adds up and helps the cause!
Crunching since Supercomputer 2012 and haven't stopped (well maybe 5 to 10 minutes each day as I do large file transfers but than resume).
Still got 2x Q6600's maxed out (3Ghz/8G DDR2) but my main rig has been postponed for now (2600k @ 4.8Ghz).
Although the username is different: YourGraveyard
Been crunching almost everyday for over 2 years now when i got tired of F@H crashing. Finally upgraded my old phenom 9850 to a 3570k and it looks like I'm pulling double my old numbers without any OCing yet
Been crunching for about 18 months now. Good stuff!
