    Question not black cover on Xeon E5600!!

    Hi

    I got my Xeon E5640 (bought new), but there is not the "black cover" (protection) on the CPU, is this normal?

    The box was closed, Intel sticker intact, etc. ...

    It's normal like new 930 batch and 1156 cpus, next time ask to your french neighbour.
