i used that 18-135 kit lens when the canon rep sent me his 7D to use while mine was being worked on.
its not worth another $300... maybe 1/2 that. plus its slow. for $300 they could drop the holier than thou attitude and make it a faster lens. or maybe just USM.

guess i better inform the wife i might be upgrading again.
anyone want to come with me and wait outside with the car running ???
