Go down to the video card section and pimp it. That is what I did with WCG. One at a time.

Fired up my rigs over the weekend for little extra push. Also hit 33 million today. I'm not running the GTX 295s on the 980x. They kill the points production of the big/adv WUs. I haven't tried allocating fewer cores yet.

    Grats on the 33 milestone!

So a AMD x6 will do 7800 ppd with smp? What motherboard you have it on, I see 4 GPUs? I have one 1055T on WCG and another arriving today via UPS.

    Cheers!

I have to apologize for my output being so spotty. I have 3 machines, one at home and two at work, and each subject to current usage for work tasks. I'm heading off to a conference tomorrow, but will leave the two work machines crunching. My home one is likely to fry even with watercooling: My room heats up to 90 F during the day, and I can't control that.

I don't think there can be apologies for not donating enough . We all do what we are moved and able to do. Every bit helps.

    Thanks PG.

The 1090T is on an MSI 790FX-GD70. Stock, with no vid cards and the smaller WUs it would hit 11.5K PPD. There are some larger WUs that are bogging it and a stock I-7 920 down with up to 15 min frames. I need to get a TRUE and OC it this weekend.

xVeinx, I doubt it will fry. My rigs were running in an ambient of 95F last weekend. The 980x hit 76C but mostly stayed around 73C and below. The 1090T was around 43C with a stock cooler. A 4 GHZ 9550 on water was around 60C. I was the one sweating like a dog. You know your equipment best though.

Oh, we moved up one place last night while I was sleeping.

I agree with angra, it's not "sorry can't do more" it is " thanks for what you do".

I may try the new 1055T on F@H, sounds interesting and worth it. Of course WCG suffers but I want to see this team climb the ranks.

I've thrown my 480 into the ring ... can't say how long I'll stay but it's on for now
This project seems *light* on the GPU.
I have moved my v -.038 from vid and have clocked up to 1556 (or there abouts).
    Does this seem about right?

Moved up to 19th yesterday. Team Anandtech goes down in 2. Only 45 active members. That's 30 less than when I started.

Yep, Stanford has not really been marketed very much lately compared to WCG and their competitions (SuperComputer, etc).

Also, FAH does not perform well for AMD and ATI folders compared to Intel and nVidia... sad really

I also think part of it is, let's be frank, Stanford's software more unstable than others like WCG that use BOINC. It does tend to take more effort to set up, and can take more effort to keep running (although I've had very few issues with my GPU2 clients). Plus I think that how Stanford keeps messing with the points system annoys people as well.

I have no plans of going anywhere though. This was my first DC project, so I always intend to have something on it

Well we moved into slot #18, but now the pickups will be slower and further between. Projection is 2.3 months until we get to #17. We need more XS wide participation to accelerate.

I may have to dust off my "other" old challenge: Keep the team ranking better than my personal ranking . I trail the team by 7 spots right now, but I have just over a month to go before I move to slot #17.
