No LN2? What if we bring a cascade? I imagine we'd have to pay for shipping?

nope we are limited to our phase units... Blizzard is SUPERRRR picky even just for phase. and we have to box up the phase units to make it look presentable.. the ones we used for quakecon workshops is what we will have... sorry...

it would also be unfair for others since they wont have the exact same cooling capacity.

Helium allowed? Not for cooling, but to make the system lighter

i think it's pretty much a given already, you either choose weight or performance. no way an aircooled chip will perform better than one on water, and no way all the watercooling hardware + water will be lighter than a single HSF.

Too bad it isn't wPrime or 3DMark or something..
it will now be beneficial for the weight points to remove an ARES/Quad-SLI GTX480 setup and replace with a low-profile 8600GT?
I guess it will be interesting to see what people come up with..
Prizes same as last time (blizzcon entry fee and competition hardware?)

No submissions? I kinda like the concept but maybe you need more time for people putting together custom rigs like you're looking for.

Yeah, whenever I sit down to bench I keep forgetting to assemble the watercooling parts. I just make a beeline to the cascade *shrug* Maybe I'll remember this weekend

Well you don't really need a custom system (thats just an option).. you can use a torture rack. The tournaments been up for over a month. i know some people are holding back but id be great if some of them showed us a sneak peak at least =P anywho shouldnt be too worried on looks. a simple torture rack from dangerden, clean cable management, should be good to go.

sure build a foam box! as long as it has 5 sides, and can be picked up and weighed, its all good! literally! if you can make the foam look nice, even better. more style points to yah!

ALL asus boards are welcome! im giving away a rampage 3 formula for anyone that wins with an asus board! submitting anything is better than nothing

Hmm.. interesting contest.. Overclocking and Modding?? Interesting concept.. I might have to join in.. need to read the rules a bit. MIght have to give Jake a buzz, since this is a team comp.

    - Ton

    Questions:
    a. What is the requirement of the system? Just an ROG mobo?
    b. I am assuming this is a "Full System", right?
    c. What is the deadline?
    d. Are teh exact systems specs for the entry going to be used at the Blizcon OC Contest? Or will there be additional parts provided?
