Still it's the cheapest (C3 Stepping) processor you can get from AMD
I will try it with Biostar board to see how it perform , perhaps it can "unlock" into a Dual Core too

IME of your want a high speed chip you would rather it not unlock, all the ones i got that unlocked weren't very high clockers.

So far i haven't seen one clearly dethrone sempron 140.

It did unlock but can't clock pass 4GHz
Default VCore (VID?) 1.35V , I can hit 3.5~3.6GHz without push up the vcore voltage

nah his chip unlocks. I have seen this commonly with unlockers. both my unlockers sucked, I just grabbed another myself much newer, hopefully it doesn't unlock.

seems not good sempron i expected more of this.

My old Sempron 140 beat it to 4GHz , too bad that chip died on an accident (bad mobo killed it )

3.6GHz @ 1.45V Vcore, SP2004 Orthos , Super PI 32M and wPrime 1024M all passed
with Stock Cooler (I replaced the themal paste with Gelid GC-2 )

I think it's quite good , for now I just need a nice ITX board with ACC / "Unlock" function

Last 2 Sempron 140's I picked up differed greatly. 1st one unlocked and OC'ed to 3.2Ghz effortlessly on stock vcore. 2nd wouldn't unlock no matter vcore, wouldn't make it into Windows. Would OC to 3.2Ghz on stock Vcore. Anything past 3.3Ghz was unstable on stock voltage so I left it at 3.2Ghz as it was for a customer's computer.

I've not managed to unlock my 140 yet - doesn't seem to want to play ball... It's got potential I *think* but I've not played with AMD since NF4 first came out on Skt 939

This is all stock cooling atm - but as soon as I'm able to, I'll whack it under another cooler - preferably my big watercooling beast

I'm still squeezing more out this chip on the stock cooler! Almost at 4Ghz - think I may need get the Kaze 3000's out to simulate a case scenario with moving air!



Still no joy unlocking it to a dual core but hey, I'm nearly gaming on a 4Ghz Sempron! XD

And yeah - still waiting on a Sempron 145 and a Phenom 1075T
