    inconsistent 5970 clocks

Anyone have anything similar? I really don't know what to think. Upon first boot into windows they're fine, both running at proper speeds and then after 5 or so minutes of furmark the first gpu takes a breather and doesn't get back up 875/1200 (stays at 400 / 900) and lowers its voltage to 1.000v as opposed to 1.274v.

    Edit:

PS: She is on water. Peaks around 35C, VDC's are all good.
PPS: The first gpu stays at 100% load and downclocks but the second is at 70% load and is running at full clocks...?

    5970

I vaguely remember reading somewhere about a coldbug on the 5970's at about 35c and a few complaining about water cooling the card. Here http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=123953
Tested with reference cooler on mine and no such problem but my core hits 92C max.

are you running any other programs in the background?

I have 2 5870's in crossfire, and they crap out to 400/900 when I'm running a flashvideo(youtube).. it will not get out of that state until I close the window.

thought my problem was OC related, but nope.. my cards are WC as well.. load temp never goes over 47°C..

Does it happens when you run the test in fullscreen mode?

CrossfireX doesn't work properly in windowed mode.

Try disabling hardware acceleration for flash. Another member had trouble while trying to run Milkyway@Home and watching videos on youtube, it was erroring out the work units. Disabling this eliminated the problem for him. His card was running 900 / 1200

just tried running in fullscreen.. still "broken" clocks but at least it's an easy fix.. haven't disabled hardware accel, but it'll probably work
