The kingstons I have QPI is 1.7 with XMP.
I have it set to 1.65 anything lower than that the system crashes.
I am using water cooling and still 1.65 runs the cpu hot.
That is the down fall of the 1366 system.
should i be better of getting

    DDR3 1600 memory then my DDR3 2000 ?

Only if you do not like the 2000 at that voltage.
Only gain with 2000 over 1600 is when moving large files.

Yes, have 1600 running and the QPI is at 1.36.

You know that your ripjaws can just be set to 1600 and that would save you alot of money, and there is always room to go higher.

I have read all your above post so i will take note in setting everything up. I a using water cooling and would like to get to at least 4 gig on the processor.. Do you think it is possible with your chip? Thanks, Brent.

Man I really love this board. I keep coming back to it with my 980x. It just works. I wish it had SATA3 support on the Intel chipset, but other than that I cannot complain. I just pulled my Maximus Extreme IV out after going through two chips and not being able to get it stable even at 4.7Ghz. P67 still seems a little buggy to me, but I am sure it's just my luck. I think I will stick with my RFIII and 980x until IVY comes out, but we will see, it would have to be a big improvement over what I have now.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for an OC'ing guide for this motherboard. I'm used to EVGA Classified BIOS and I noticed my R3F uses much different terminology for a lot of things. The OC'd specs in my sig are actually this exact setup, except at the time I was using a Classy 760 board. I've tried overclocking to similar settings on my R3F, and I have stability issues. I've even tried just 4ghz and I still get stability problems. I know I'm doing something wrong, but the problem is that I'm simply not familiar with ASUS BIOS. Anyone have any guides/tips? I'll even take some templates for R3F/970 LOL xD

    Hey,

I'm looking for chipset water cooling options for this board. I really would like to cool the NB/SB and mosfets. As some of you already know, Koolance discontinued the MB-ASR3F full board for this MB (only a few months after releasing it). I have never tried using universal blocks for NB/SB but it looks like I might try it. Anyone tried it / have advice? Also anyone want to sell me their used Koolance MB-ASR3F?
