    SF3D OC Inflection Point

    Hi all!

Here is the new thread about my LN2 cooling products.
Please do not mess this one with offtopic comments etc.

After I started to use LN2 I have been testing different kinds of LN2 cooling products. I found my own style and the things I like in CPU pots.
There was not that kind of pots available and I got opportunity to do my own designs, so I did my first sample in 2008. (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=186131)

Then the next phase in 2009 was to produce improved models to get more power handling to the design.
Third beta phase was already very good and I got quite good results with it (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=247009)

Then final phase was for fine tuning the design and do some compromises in production.
Then I got first Inflection point in to my hands.

The name Inflection point is taken from mathemathics and you can see the reason here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflection_point

This is how the product looks like:

I like when all things are exact and in good order. So CPU pot must behave very strictly and exactly how I like.

Inflection point is very fast and accurate in temperature adjustment in all temperature ranges from 0 to -196.
You first need to get used to it and then it can eat whatever you throw at it.
This design is suitable for all kind of CPU's with cold bug or not. There is no matter if it is AMD or Intel, new or old.
You can easily keep the temperature in very small frames during the heaviest possible load like Vantage CPU test or Wprime 1024M.

I have used many different CPU cooling devices and this is my approach to this matter. Some just like it very much and some very very much

Because of high demand there will be more products available later. I have good new ideas for GPU units too.

If you want to get Inflection point kit, just send me a PM

    Massman-
"I thoroughy tested this pot in Helsinki last weekend and I must say that I'm (again) impressed by how it handles the 980X!"
    Predator-
" it's amazing! I love it! The best pot i owned ever so far!"
    Slamms-
"After benching on this pot I may say that this is the best LN2 pot that I have seen."
    elmor-
"Yes, it is ok" (If you can get this out of Jon, it must be good )

i think i have seen this pot and used it... well its quite good in temp control seriously, react very fast when u need to pull down the temp, 1 thing is it eat ln2 very fast too... i have only tried that on i5, no chance to try it on 980x... just wondering how will it handle a 980x beast hahaha.... anyway here is a pic of it

yo yo, always nice to see new kids around the block.

I was so lucky to get the opportunity to try it out, Rosty got one and ya it works .

A nice addition, using torch will not make any damage to the top part of the mount when the ALU bracket is used.

Nice pot SF3D, but this aluminium mounting bracket sucks.
    Too much ice.
    Plastic is better.
    Nice video.

You guys base these arguments on your first hand experience with this pot or just making them up

If you just put small paper around the bracket, you will not see any issues.
Do not make the problem, if there is none.

I have seen and done really long sessions with this and never had any issues about this ice thing.

Ok, but as i saw the picture on top and appears to have enough ice! But it gets a pretty good finish without a doubt!

I say this not with the intention to throw down your work!

This little extra ice is indeed not a big problem, but I prefer plastic.

I base my knowledge on first hand experience of benching LN2 period

Bottom line I think these guys are saying, ICE on top = Ice in pot, which turns ln2 milky which absolutely 100% effects temps.

Take this from a guy that 99% of time is always shooting for max temps.

Now if you don't like it guys there is this cool stuff called rubberized under coating, sprays the bracket call it a day.

well the ice on the bracket is not an issue at all if you continue benching, it will be PITA if u have coldbug and u need to heat the pot up... the ice around will start to get melt and u will need to wipe off the water like it is sweating... this is the only problem i face when i have much ice on top...

You guys should try having small rag (cut one to size if you must) folded a couple times and between pours you just sit it on the top of the pot. During idle periods it seems to slow the pots gradual increase in temps and it also reduces the amount of frost you get atop the pot and no the inner wall. Its a simple, quick and easy way to help manage some of your frost up issues. Think of it as a cap for your pot. It works for me out here in Hawaii where we have a decent amount of humidity.

    Will add these here too:

New videos showing AMD Phenom II X4 970 BE + Inflection point in action.

Part 1: Vantage CPU test + Wprime 1024M
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AiNm1gn22k

(Video is speeded up in some parts, so it would not be SO boring)

    Part 2: 3DM05 at high voltage (1.96V):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUDK2PT_4pw

(Video is speeded up in some parts, so it would not be SO boring)

Once again there was no issues to handle load from CPU. If you feel really lazy and you have cold bugless CPU, try this.
No need to stretch your arms too much..once in a 2 minutes is ok
