    Yep that is one nice Xeon. Failing that, I'd definitely get a Q9650. Mine does 4GHz on X48 (One REX, also on my DFI) boards easily.

    The x3380 has a locked multiplier but it has the highest default quad-core multiplier (9.5) for socket 775.

    I'm trying to find a guide for my DFI's bios, here on xtremesystems but can't seem to find it Anyone knows of a good guide
    for the so complicated DFI x48 T3RS bios?

    p.s. xeons don't have any compatibility issues with other hardware or programs right??

    Just FYI, I'm running at QX9770 with a Corsair H50 and a P5Q Deluxe at 4.3GHz 1.45V without any problems. I used to run a QX9650 at the same speeds as well but it required more voltage.

    I have my x3380 @4.20ghz 1.4v quad pumped dual channel with h100i stable, temp during prime95 with case shut and ambient temp 25c... cpu max 80c
