Yep that is one nice Xeon. Failing that, I'd definitely get a Q9650. Mine does 4GHz on X48 (One REX, also on my DFI) boards easily.

The x3380 has a locked multiplier but it has the highest default quad-core multiplier (9.5) for socket 775.

Just patrolling old thread for info about the QX9650 and the Q6700 actually has the highest defaul multiplier @ 10x 266.

what temps do you get with that on such a voltage?

I have my x3380 @4.20ghz 1.4v quad pumped dual channel with h100i stable, temp during prime95 with case shut and ambient temp 25c... cpu max 80c

Very tough to find..they released that near the end of the run and long after the Q9650's came out..
