Zinc is used as sunscreen here too..but, in the case of our stuff there is more stuff added. I would imagine sunscreen must have some sort of lotion that is mixed in too..give it the creamy texture.

I don't think it is the zinc that is changing its color..zinc is white. I'd bet they are dying the lotion. You can use Mayhems Dyes and dye the nanofluid any color you'd like..

Just wonder what effect inline filters would have on ice dragon. Something like the new Koolance inline coolant filter.

the viscosity for the coolant is a little greater than water, so the pressure drop across the filter would increase by a small amount. It'd be nothing to write home about. .27mm is actually not very small. Our nanoparticles are 40nm.. or .000040mm

    thanks

as many of you know we have been offering free worldwide shipping. That is going to end in one month plus a few days (The end of CES).. We are going to restructure our pricing, and probably have a minimum order for people overseas. So, if you have been thinking about it now is the time..

We have an H100 test running right now, and Husqvarna Motorcycles is going to be testing next week in some of their enduro bikes (Dakar is soon). We will post a lot of viscosity and thermal conductivity data in the next few weeks.. We are doing those measurements now - it just takes a while.

Finally, if you happen to be at CES stop by-booth 25404.. We are downstairs from the computer stuff..

Apologies if you've answered this already - is there a reason you can't ship to Florida? Just tried to order some, but it says it can't ship to my zip.

the only time we have seen this error is when you try to ship it to some place different than you credit card address.. The way people have gotten around this is with paypal. We have blasted BigCommerce over this error, but their hamsters are tired from running on the wheel..

that's all I got.. let me know if the paypal option fails..

    thanks..

I also tried this morning and could not order via Credit Card or paypal.. Pop up window says it cannot send to my home address. I also replied to your email when I set up a user account at your store.

How about putting some contact info on your store web site. You are about to lose a lot of business. Frustrating to say the least.

At 8pm, just tried again and it does not work. Same error message.

would the use of smaller nano particles (40nm > ) help with thermal dissipation?

our size is controlled to a mean size of 40nm..sort of like a bell curve, and then we do one more thing to make sure they are all pretty much 40nm and smaller. The problem with going with the 20nm, which we did in the beginning was that it cost a lot of money to make sure the mean size in 20nm. There is no thermal performance difference between the two sizes. 40nm is still pretty small. There is a lot going on other than just thermal conductivity. When I finish our CES brochure, I will put it up here.. we hope to have some good data in it..we just have to finish the tests..

Was thinking about getting some for my reservoir that I am getting made but I was told to use their special coolant to help reduce fog in the reservoir. Don't have any pics now but it will be an 8 bay waterfall like reservoir, do you think your coolant fog it up do you think or would it be fine?

fog it up?..what do you mean. At CES 2012 I am building a dragon-computer in which the coolant will be in a pool/pond in front of the dragon - no radiator. I will have an ultra fine screen just below the surface to protect the pump. But, I don't think the coolant will fog anything up unless you start reaching the critical pressure/temp to cause fog. It is mostly DI Water. If you can give me some more details I might be able to better help you out.

    thanks

Just a quick question, adding the Mayhems UV Pink to IDC dose not make the liquid glow pink in dark under UV Light correct? Even using the whole UV Pink bottle? This might be a dumb question, but what's the reason behind not glowing under UV Light?

Is there any other way to make the pink liquid "pop" at night? Such as white LEDs maybe? Also, when dose free shipping end? End of this month, or end of Jan?

It is really hard to add UV to IDC nanofluid. Mayhems has posted a pic of stuff he was able to successfully add UV glow, however it was blueish in colour (under UV). You are likely unable to get a UV pink glow easily.
