    Its definately a site problem.

Even a 768kbps down line should be able to handle a forum like this with ease.

I run 8 mbit down 512kbps up and even hosting game servers is not a problem with just 512kbps.

wow, my 64kb line is sufficient for using this site; If I had to guess the problem is at your end, not with the site.

No, it's the site. There are some slowdowns in the main index area. I usually load it at 1/10th of a second to 3/10ths of a second while now its taking ~5-10 seconds to full load a page. ...and it's just XtremeSystems.

I've been having random slowdowns too. Mostly just response time, like I click a link, and it takes a few seconds for it to open open it up. Once it is loading it seems OK.

I have a fast enough line. The problem is the time it takes the server to respond. Sometimes it's instant, sometimes it's 15 seconds.

In short, it's doing the same thing george fixed last time... seems like about a year ago.

Same thing here, sites seems a bit slow, and it's only XS.

I'm on a 384k/192k line(South Africa for you) so everything is slow, but XS is slower of late.

Ever since the site crapped on itself several months ago its been slow as FOOK. In fact, I rarely come here anymore b/c manuevering through this site is brutally slow at the office, and at home (both with PLENTY of speed (30/15 down like movieman at home). Thats a damn shame b/c this is one of the most informative sites around.

It takes about 5-10 seconds to load the forum main page and about 3-5 seconds to load pages once Im in. This is all hours of the day and night...its not a network issue, thats for sure.

XS is PAINFUL today, at home on my 384k line it can sit for up to 20s with Opera saying waiting for reply from server... And at work it takes a good 5s to get past that stage (using Firefox :/ ) on our 4MB business line.

You sure your upload isn't 128k? Everyone else's is.

Also, we should add a redirect from http://xtremesystems.org/ to http://www.xtremesystems.org/ as the former merely has an "index of" shown ^_^
