    All right..

My card tonight is not stable to run 930 core - perhaps it´s the hot weather or because of tessellation on. Anyway here is a result when overclocked to 926/1852/2340 - the same settings as before. I am sorry, but I am unable to get into that review Hardwarecanucks did on the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 470 OC Edition. Whenever I try to load a page, I get thrown back to page 2. Could someone tell me if that is only me and my browser or if the website is currently having some maintanence? If it is only me - could someone post a picture of the Gigabyte score - same settings as mine? Here is the link to that review: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...on-review.html

Here is the picture of my Unigine score with tessellation on normal.

Not bad at all. AFAIK thats hanging in there with a lot of 470s that have a mild OC.

ED - Yep right on the money. Minimum FPS is 20 for a stock GTX470, average is 29FPS. According to canucks.

Well how about this demonkevy666 - satisfied? It is still faster than the Gigabyte GTX470 OC Edition. Now I can not wait to see if that other card I ordered will perform the same.

To the average eye and screenshot - his maths add and equal to his proclaims - thus - he is not wrong in what he is saying - I talk in averages about his figures - not the result.

The maths and quote of "25%" is correct, albeit in reality, a small increase. 25% of 1 card is NOT the same as 25% of the other. Where 25% of the 460 may only equate to 1% difference from that of a 470.

ie. 25% of 100 isn't the same as that of 25% of 50, but it's stil 25% of the original factor

Looking forward to seeing what those cards can do Got my Asrock 890FX Deluxe3 in the post today so I'm probably going to be taking apart the "old" system in prep for the arrival of the 955BE and G-Skill Ripjaws. Can't wait to have it all running so I can actually use my 460 problem free

Hi guys, I was wondering: does anybody have any clue how to use afterburner Voltage modification with a Gainward GTX460 GLH? It seems the non-reference design doesn't go along with afterburner, It cannot read the voltage neither can it change it :/

Guys I want your help in order to mod the card and manage to go at 1.1 vcore, and change heatsink which I think sucks major a$$. Is there any good compatible heatsink out there for our cards? I've ever changed a gpu bios so any help/guide will be well appreciated (is it very risky?? :P). Would adding heatsinks on rams/regulators do any good?

    p.s. what's up with papaTROLLis?

Could you post a step by step guide on how to mod the card allowing higher voltage - please? I have read somewhere on how to do it, but I thought at the time it looked a bit complicated, but I would very much like to try it out.

Ditto getting some 1600 Ripjaws here, that if I'm lucky, MIGHT do 2000 @ 8-8-8. Which is fine by me

They will be my first Nvidia cards since my 6800 SLI, I've had an ATI X1900, 3850 Xfire, 4850 Xfire, 4870 Xfire, and 5770 Xfire since then :p

I really didnt want to pay more than £150 per card ever again since my X1900, and the 4870s were terrible and too hot so I only wanted cool running ones after that, but the Cyclone GTX 460s were too good to resist with great cooling too. and I still have my UD5 mobo and 5770s to get rid of, hoping to make back what I just paid for those two.

I had to choose between the Gigabytes at £176, and the MSIs at £186:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/1GB-G...s-DL-DVI-mHDMI

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/1GB-M...2x-DVI-I-mHDMI

Both those prices are good for these cards, and they both have the best cooling and build quality available. I went with the MSI because they look nicer, and I've wanted to try MSI cards for ages. Gigabyte ones are also really good, but the Blue PCB would clash horribly with my R3E :p.
