I loved dirt2, but just hoping dirt3 isn't as repetitive.

Loved dirt 2! Graphics were very impressive and I hope Dirt 3 doesn't let up. Also, MORE TRACKS MORE RALLY CARS MORE MUSIC!!! And get rid of the ing slow user interface!

I agree about the music in Dirt 2. Unfortunately, there isn't an option to turn down the car engine noise and turn up the music in-race. Hope that gets fixed.

No, that's supposed to be a Focus WRC rally car, very little to do with the "real" car besides the name and general body-shape.

Ken Block should be the cover guy for Dirt 3 from the looks of it. That's fitting, all show but no go...
Murray Walker: "And there are flames coming from the back of Prost's McLaren as he enters the Swimming Pool."

James Hunt: "Well, that should put them out then."

Yea, I looked up the rally car version of the RS, and it was the WRC. Awesome little car.

Pretty sure that was on purpose. It's not like race cars have radios in them. I couldn't imagine racing in Dirt1 or 2 without hearing where my engine is at. I've tried it before. Failed hard! So much of the feedback in this game is audio. Helps keep your eyes on the track an not on your tach.

Of course, nothing is stopping you now from alt-tabbing out the game, dropping the volume in windows and then starting up your own mediaplayer to run a little louder.

The thing I've really missed in Dirt 2 is weather. I have't finished the game yet. But I haven't found an event where it was anything but perfect weather. At least Dirt 1 had weather.

In a very poor comparion a WRC rally car is much more akin to a "prototype" than to a road-going car. But, yea, the Focus RS is a blast. Wish we had it here, too. I love hot hatches.

Curious what all the Dirt hate is about? Because the cars aren't fully adjustable like in a full sim racer? Because physics & damage aren't dead nuts?

I'm really in the dark here, as I've found the games pretty damn fun. Mind you, I've never had the pleasure of trying RBR. Dirt has flaws. But it gets enough of the equation right for me so far.
