Welcome to the internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.
i would call it a good chip, consedering that are some chip which can't stabilize even on 880 with same voltage..
r u aware that with physx ON the result gets "fraudulent" right? just checking...
uhhhh i don't know what r your possibilities at now but how about spend a little of your time unlocking the bios and trying to reach 950@1.15v or more with the stock air cooler?
would be great... what model r yours btw?

UPDATE..
HAWK priced at 226EUD suggested by TECHPOWERUP, 270CAD at NCIX.com, so i guess it will stay below 280USD..

Hey guys, can someone tell me if the MSI Cyclone is compatible with the Swiftech MCW60? I already ordered the card and got the possibility to buy a decent WC for a really low price.
Thanks!
well i'm 99% sure it won't fit under the cyclone.. cuz the roles are in a rectangular format, to fit the holes should be in a square format same way g92 is... and AFAIK the only gtx460 which have the square holes are the palit sonic.. maybe theres more the only i've seen till now is the palit sonic..

Hm, I see... and do you know of any gpu waterblock that will fit on it? I would love to buy that WC and plug this baby in water.

to be honest i dont think there is a specific model which does fit in these rectangular holes, but i may be wrong..
in my point of view, you have two options if you really wanna put your future vga in water..
first, as u said u didn't receive it yet, that's good cuz u can reject it, or accept it and then return it to the seller and get your money back.. then you buy the palit sonic which have the holes in a square format then and use it with the mcw60..
the second option would be manufacture a block by yourself with a CAD project and with those machines that can draw metal... this option would be hugely more expensive i think..
the third option would forget to put it in water and stay with the stock cooler which a nice idea too btw...
well i guess it's up to you now

The first one its not going to happend, but most of the buys in Argentina are with an importer, so, I already ask him for that model and cant cancel it, beside, I like that model.
The second seems good, and I already think of it, even I made a really basic sketch, but I dont have the equipment to make it and I dont know someone that will have those things.
The third option, is not an option for me![]()
Pekalion -EK waterblock and its a full cover which will run past your mem and vrms if i am not mistaken. I have a pair of their blocks coming in , i ordered from a place in Canada tho. Also Koolance has blocks out as well if you like the shiney bling!
OC Nub - With PhysX everyone gets a higher number of courseand when its not enbaled everyone gets a lower number. Trust me , you have a good score for sure & yes usually if you get a lock up, drivers dropping, artifcacts, tearing and/or scaling in a bench test then it isnt 100% stable IMO. Add a bit more voltage but keep an eye out on your temps as well . Check out the BIOS index that Ket has applied, they are modified and will allow you to reach higher volts.
Cantankerous - I just loop them manually lol, run the test once its done fire it right up again over and over a few times :P

Got the second card today, first test was 06 stock cards. These little cards are better than I expected, 30k will be a walk in the park with a small oc.
Im on the RampageIII Extreme board, my bclk is limited and CPU score looks low. I need to put these cards on the X58A-UD7 and try some 4800mhz 3D runs this weekend, should be fun.

according to this new they really will manufacture a full cover block, that's awesome.. but i don't think this will help our friend PEKALION.. they didn't tell about this, but i think the full cover is only for reference PCBs, and the cyclone if i ain't mistaken isn't a reference pcb..
AFAIK all full cover blocks tend to fit only on reference PCBs to expand the target people, so more people can use the block..in GTX460 this is a completely mess, cuz we have a super variety of PCBs..inn the other hand i may be wrong, plus EK didn't comment about this on their website.
soon we will have more details..
Welcome to the internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.
The MSI cyclone is listed in there , so he is ok to put the EK waterblock on it.
you are completely right...
i have checked EK website twice and for some reason i didn't see the big button "COOLINGCONFIGURATOR EKWB COMPATIBILITY LIST"
now that you told this, i decided to check it again and voila, i saw the damn button
so uhh, that's right the cyclone is listed and fully compatible with the block, price quite attractive also..
PS: what's the difference between the NICKEL and ACETAL+NICKEL, what is acetal?
Welcome to the internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents.
Basically watever looks better for you . My watercooling setup I have is in a all black and white theme
Damn, check the cooling on that! Surely it has 1.1+v bumped from the factory to get those clocks. I would love the read the bios from that card!
