If you're not aware, then that's not a bad thing. Some old laundry that I thought was taken care of got dug up again.

yea i was banned from news section because i just looked at new posts and didn't see the thread about 3 day ban and full ban from news section, which makes me angry, because people are far more likely to read pm's as they are always in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Yes, would be a good idea, to say some threads got a little intense, is a understatment.

Please can we avoid downtime this time? You can delete threads without taking the forums down, unless you want to do a massive cleanup...

I refrained from posting in the long drawn out thread thats wisely been locked. But I see this is going to be another thread that ends up a mess. While I dont post that often here at XS ( and when I do its mostly in the folding section) I am a large contributor in several other forums. I honestly feel that many people cant or wont be objective about this, and that some people probably wont let it drop at this. What we do not need is for personal feelings to be involved in this, it business plain and simple. Dont let this one instance become a wound that wont heal. The community now more than ever needs to pull together and move past this.

My 2 cents for what its worth

If the forum staff decides to do so it´s their right to do so, but to be honest I´m not a supporter of those kind of "cleanups". It won´t change anything happened and it wont´t cancel anything said.

If your unhappy about your history there are two possibilities:
    - Extinguish all you feel aggrieved about to polish the surface. Maybe you will forget once, but you will never grow with it.
    or
    - Preserve it to build a memorial. It will remind you to work unstintingly for the conception you support if you tend to leave the path you´ve chosen.

Maybe this will put an end to a certain kind of bickering which personally drives me nuts. That would make this site so much more valuable, at least in my humble opinion [I'm a peon , I know my place haha]. We are still going to have a news section, right? Cleanup in this case isn't removal a la Speak Freely?
