Weird. A competition where I already own the requisite board. Might actually enter this one if my new CPU arrives in time (and is worthy).
Brian, I care less about ASUS giving away good stuff than I do about ASUS MAKING good stuff. We buy mobos because of what the boards DO, not because somebody got flown to a comp. Pay your engineers well, then fund competitions with the leftover cash.
(Please tell your engineers I said that, so they think of me the next time they have some secret GPU datasheets they're itching to share with somebody)

so what stuff do we not make thats good? ill admit we are not 100% perfect and i dont think any company will ever be, but i think we make some pretty damn good stuff.
I think my point wasn't clear. You do make pretty damn good stuff. Sometimes the best stuff.
I've purchased a 2 P5B deluxes, a P5B Premium, 2 Commandos, 2 REX's and an R3E in the last year or so. 3 are still alive and the ones that died went down fighting - not from any flaws.
Good stuff gets bought. Keep making good stuff and don't worry about whiners complaining about not getting free lunches.
