AMD FX53 joins the 4 GHz club - no coldbug FTW!

Short post, but a nice one I think Tried a chip I was going to sell, just to make sure it sucked (as I thought before I started going really low on the temp scale)... Initially I was going to do a quick 32m on it, at like 3.5GHz just to grab another point at HWBot, but I decided to try a fast suicide run with what was left in the tank afterwards (too little to run anything useful on another chip).

    Result: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1297313

I think this chip scales like a true freak with temps, I couldn't boot at 3500 at -100c for example (so I ran 32m at 270x12 instead )... And NO sign of coldbug, ran full pot at 4ghz. LHe next?

1.84v is nothing on these chips, I ran 32m at that and forgot to turn it up to 1.9v

I never had a good FX57, if i could get one like that uber chip I would be a really happy man - but I cant afford binning when they STILL cost $150 on ebay.

Very retro overclock! Makes me wonder what would happen if AMD and Intel would revise older chips with new technology?
Signatures make my posts look huge... but I'm not humble enough to completely remove my signature, so I kept this note explaining it.

Dude, sweet clock! I was surprised to see the FX chips still going for so much on ebay... I looked a little bit ago because I got a 939 board dumpster diving and wanted to play with it. Keep it old school!
