Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
Congrats to Massman for great victory, he came as a journalist and went home as overclocking king .....To bad for Elmor he has a lot to show ( but bad cpu won't let him.....) ... Hipro-s t-shirt ventilation system didn't work this time ( too bad his CPU was bad,he is overclocking legend )...Predator also has bad luck with motherboard...Also congrats to Matose ,Slamms and Erdemolkun you all did a great job....I enjoyed time spent with all of you ...Hope to see you all soon ...
ps. Massman bad karma did the job again, hope for a little bit of his happiness in Taipei...
Very nice event Gigabyte, even though I have some sunburns right now from the powerfull Mallorca sun
Hey Massman, you still look like a zebra with red and white stripes?
Congrats to all the guys present there and see you in Taipei in september
Born to lose, live to win!
Thank Mingas
It seemed that he was not the only one zebra who rode it!
congrats guys! sound like a nice event... too bad intel couldnt supply you guys with proper chips...
there they have a chance to work with their target customers for highend cpus and all they hand out is scraps...
Hehe, so now you are a Mad Shrimp as well . I'm still red zebra ...
Q4EG, that is correct. I heard there were two batches going around: A7xx and A8xx ... not sure though.
I have to agree with you. Not only Intel is using the crap CPUs (maybe they want to get rid of all the B1 ES samples), but Kingston provided PSC-based memory for the competition as well because, apparently, it's their 'fastest kit on the market'. Running 2000 CL7-9-7 is the result then, while Hyper-based kits would do 2200CL7-7-7 with a bit of luck ... strange companies.
Where courage, motivation and ignorance meet, a persistent idiot awakens.
Congrats to Massman and all the other qualifiers. It was good to meet new friends and to catch up with old ones.
here is a little report with some pics. http://www.benchtec.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=6828
Found this picture on the Cooler Master Spain facebook account. Sums it up nicely.

Thank you Gigabyte for this wonderful competition. This Event was very difficult for me because this is my first Event in Europe. I had a very good processor - no coldbug, no coldboot. I was able to make the maximum validation - 6395 MHz. But the processor too quickly deteriorated, and I could not repeat the results made during the training. I did 13.98 seconds in PiFast at 6100 MHz. But already during the first round of the processor was able to pass the maximum PiFast at 6033 MHz. By the end of the second round of the processor degenerated completely and I could not get the result in wPrime.
I want to congratulate the winners. See you in Taiwan.
Glad to get acquainted with all
Here is a little report in portuguese and some pics. http://www.lilireviews.com/final-europeia-go-oc-2010/
It was a great event, congrats to all the winners !
I'm so sun burned too
maybe because Hyper aren't produce anymore, it'll be silly to show kits you can't buy.
mine was 3003A790.
you can find a big pics gallery from the event here: http://picasaweb.google.fr/PCi.David...almaDeMajorque

A bit focused on the Portuguese overclocker but no only!
It was an awesome event taking the beach, women and etc into account.
I just wish for some proper CPUs next time. The one I received had tons of goo around on it, and I am not talking vaseline ... Lost a memory channel and quickly after that the CPU only had 2 cores working although all were selected in BIOS. One of the strangest things I have experienced when OCing.
Hell, if PJ was able to keep his CPU alive for those couple of hours, he is definetaly worthy of the first place
Thanks guys, many of you helped and were very kind, with some I had a lot of fun or a good talk.
