So I am in the Middle of BFBC2, when I hear the pumps in my loop making a funny sound...I see the res is empty so I shut my pc down right away and find this....

UHHHH, the seal failed on the milled hole in the triple top!!! Is there a way to reseal it or should I just get another......If i could reseal it it would be great.....

Weld-on #3 might be able to fix that. It's a glue specifically made for acrylic that I've used on some stuff in the past and IIRC, CyberDruid used it to make his res's. You'll need a small bottle and needle to apply it without messing up the clearness of the top.

Realistically though, probably better off trying to RMA it.

If that weren't acrylic, it wouldn't have made it out of XSPC's sight, but eye-inspection is difficult with acrylic, so it may have been a bad product from the start. XSPC should get you a new one and this may not be the first time this has happened.

Yeah looks like an epoxy resin seal that went bad.
Man... the thing that worries me is your not the first one ive seen have this.
But its definitely not a common thing like cracking on a T3.

Yeah, I know about the T3 I had one before this.....LOL. It would probably take so long to RMA so I just ordered another, should be here monday. I will RMA the other, or if someone would like to try fixing it I can send it to them....:P

XSPC actually has great service. All I did was send them pictures of my leaking res., next day they shipped out a replacement, and I received it 2 days later straight from Hong Kong.

That's a reason why you always have to pay a premium for something not transparent... it's almost like a higher bin.

Why dont they just make water cooling stuff with Lexan?

I'd happily pay $10 more for lexan/polycarbonate than acrylic.

I don't know why they don't use those materials, I would pay extra also..If they had the xsps triple top in POM I would have gotten that instead!

I think yes on this one. Triple top creates three times the head pressure of a single pump, and that is a lot of pressure.

I have a dual top as well, and I am going to keep a watch for leaks. That triple top has 1/3 more pressure than the dual top, so maybe the dual top will not fail, but who knows.

Nah, you shouldn't. He's using triple the strongest DDC pump available. You're using two, and if you don't have DDC3.25 but MCP355 instead,
they won't be producing anywhere near the pressure he's produced. (afaik MCP350(DDC3.1)<MCP355(DDC3.2)<DDC3.25)

Because not all of us are that clever. Now I'm not referring to any here on these forums, I'm referring to people who try out watercooling without having a clue whatsoever of what they're doing. Now there are a lot more of those than one would expect, just as there are a lot more that buy crappy pc's simply because they have no idea how to build one.

It's not a full explanation, but it's the only one I can come up with at this moment.

Why is Tt still making Liquid Cooling gear?. . .because there are a lot of stupid, ignorant ppl in the world that like to cheap out whenever they can. Manufacturers are no different because they are made up from some of those very same ppl.

Hmmm, I may get a 4th pum and use to dual tops instead..., but only ek makes POM dual DDC tops I think and I haven't seen any reviews of if they are any good.....

If one has actual need for tripple top, my guess it's only because of poorly setup loop. Otherwise it's 1) needless waste of money, 2) extra head pressure won't net you anything in temps, 3) unneccessary extra heat dump from pump in loops, extra electricity usage and extra noise/vibrations. One might argue that tripple top brings extra redundancy, well, duh, so already does dual top. From your sig i see two gpu waterblocks, single cpu one, two rads. For what do you actually might need three 3.25? (or even four, as you mentioned in last post)?
    EDIT
Ugh. Totally forgot main reasons for tripple tops - bling and showing off.

There was this bloke from Luxembourg who stated that his dual top made specific sound and
he's going to stick to single tops from now on.

I actually have 3 rads, 2 gpus, cpu, mosfets, nb/sb blocks in the loop. The single loops works really well better than when I had the T3 with a d5...

Bringer: with tripple DDCs almost any ammount of blocks in single loop won't show much of flow drop. Comparing those to semi-paralellised but nevertheless single D5 in T3 is like comparing apples to oranges. Head pressure in first case is more then 3-4 times at least that of single D5. And most probably dual DDC would perform 99% as good as your tripple is in your loop :P
