gj told me a few days ago he was beta testing it and it seemed to work great. he said it should be bugfree by now.

just chatted with gj , madmark should be running tonight. they just need to change the server ip and some other small stuff like that.

so when does the competition start? id say next monday? most people should have their card by then and the rest of the people should get it really soon.

Madmark is working (still buggy, but it works enough for compo), and GJ's ORB should be online and working since yesterday.

I'm going to test it right now and report back in a minute.

    -edit-
Just checked. Madmark works but GJ's orb still needs to be altered a bit to accept the results from madmark. I thought he would have done it by yesterdaynight but appearantly not. I'll contact him asap.

For **** sake, I left it with all the other mail for 7 hours and already it's stolen! :bash: :bash: :bash:

    Hi guys.

We need this up and running ASAP otherwise ill have to scrap it.

If somebody posts there best score then kills there card before madmark is up then we are screwed.... and we will just have to use the orb.

If you need any help testing or anything I should be online most of today.

i just tested GJ's orb with madmark and it works. I'm going to make madmark n00b proof tonight and up it to my webspace, so we can start the contest.

Holst, don't worry, GJ made his orb so both futuremark and madmark scores can be uploaded. I tweaked madmark a bit so it delivers exaclty the same 3dmark score as 3dmark itself, so the results are perfectly comparable. : )

I still need an OCZ banner though, are they sponsering the contest or not?

The banner section is empty atm. Uploading a working version as we speak. I'll submit the download url to Holst so he can test & start the compo. : )

RB, thx for the link and nice work.

    I have two questions:

Can we use and publish scores saved in 3DMark2001?

Does Madmark allow to run test by test or only the complete bench?

How do you mean? Whether you can import 3dmark results (no), or whether you can save your madmark results (yes, but too many bugs to be useful atm)?

Hmmm... no. I could implement this option, but i would see no benefit for testing purpose.

    Use winrar, I think.

RB, you mean this is only a testing version of madmark?

If it is, I think the final version should include the possibility of running test by test in any order. I think most of the benchers, including me, use this option and it's not against the rules....

    It's titled "v0.17 beta".... yes it's a preliminary version.

I will note your request down, but there are more important features to take care of at the moment.

use winace or winrar to unrar.

Is it possible to save a madmark score on one pc and copy the file to take to another pc for upload?
