Comparing Textures Filtrate/Pixel Filtrate and Memory bandwidh, the 256 bytes/1024mb version is better than GTX 465....?
So GTX 460 better than GTX 465 and 50$ cheaper, probably more overclocking headroom due the less complicated and smaller chip., less heat and power consumption.
The 768mb model at 200$ wiil be a little under GTX 465 but 70-80$ cheaper.
Let say that GTX 460 seems to be the first Fermi done right for us and for Nvidia(lower costs, probably higher yelds so more profit)>

I hate to admit it, but maybe Charlie was right all along with the "tesselation" performance will go down the toilet with derivatives..

looking at TPU 465 review i see:

    a 5850 is 12% slower than a 465, which is 17% slower than 5850
and a 460 seems to be a good 5% faster than a 465, which would then make the gap

    5830 17% slower
    5850 12% faster

and thats the 768MB version. i hope the 1GB card is going to get a good 5-10% more and maybe this will bring ATI cards down 30% in price

Look again at those graphs. The GTX460 768MB is NOT beating a GTX465...
Sorry to burst your wet dream, but its not gonna happen..
About the GTX460 1GB.. lets wait and see..

my apologies, damn horrible nvidia numbering system. and its not my wet dream, its everyones. the only people happy with an ATI card are the ones who bought them 9 months ago for a few dollars cheaper

Hope 1 GB/256-bit will do the job ... 768 MB/192-bit seems to be the limit with some 1920X1080 AAX8 scores

Seems like the GTX460 finally will give AMD some incitament to drop the prices a bit.

It looks like a HD 5830 killer, possibly even HD 5850 depending how good it overclocks.
