GTX 295 downclocks itself when stressed! :(

Hello I have a GTX 295 that downclock itself when i bring too much opon it than it can handle. For example adding a high level of supersampling in crysis or silimar stuff.

Am running Windows 7 64bit and my SIG is updated!

    Help would be appreciated.

did you do any overclocking at all? try cleaning all the dust of the heatsink. when it heats up too much, it can't handle the load/heat and will either crash or downclock to 2D mode.

thx for the reply, the card is slightly overclocked but i dont think it has to do with that because i run rivatuner in all games and the temps are ok, around 60 celcius for both cores, and the cards heatsink is recently cleaned so theres no dust or so in there.

What can cause this to downclock if its not heat/temperature related? And what can be done to prevent the downclocking`?

Have you tried using MSI Afterburner, to set constant clock?
Maybe try out both a constant 2D clock profile and 3D clock
