    Stuffed Pinnacle 24

Not really a worklog, but I wanted to post a few pictures of my -finally- completed setup.

    The guts:

    Intel Core i7 920 @ 4.0Ghz
    2 evga gtx470 sc's
    evga x58 le
    6gb Corsair Dominator's
    Intel g2 80gb ssd
    Intel g2 40gb ssd
    2tb WD Black
    150gb WD v.raptor
    300gb WD v.raptor
    1000w Silverstone psu

    Liquid Cooling:

    3 TFC 360 radiators
12 Nexus silent fans running at around 12v
ek Supreme LT on the cpu
ek full cover on the motherboard
    2x ek 470 blocks
    2 mcp355 pumps
    All one loop.

Never seen above 61 C under load on the cpu
Never seen above 42 C under load on the gpu's

Primary OS is Ubuntu x64 10.04, I do have Windows 7 installed for playing video games other than WoW which I play linux side. This machine is the primary computer at home, it acts as my desktop, main cruncher, and home server. Anyways, on to the pics, feedback welcomed!

Thanks guys. It was a fun case to work with. I almost didnt get it all to fit. The bottom 470 actually rests on the fan of the bottom radiator. there was only enough room to put 2 thin rubber washers between them. I'd like to go back sometime and work the cable management to make that look a little cleaner, but there isn't a lot of options for hiding them further.

pwolfe-in the first picture there's something that looks like an optical drive-is that attached to the rig pictured above?

I always wanted to make a two part box-one part that housed all the components, and then have a single cord running to a box underneath the monitors that had the storage drives/CD drives/USB/audio stuff. perhaps i'm just projecting

my optical drive is external, I already owned an external dvd burner, and since I use an optical drive maybe once every 2 months, I didn't see the point.

what's the fan housing in the optical drive bay? scythe something or other?

i always wish mountain mods had a no optical option for their cases (4 fans for a pinnacle, 12 for an ascension etc). liu kang got a custom case like that...

You're correct, thats a scythe 120 mounting and it needs to be re-hot-glued in place, it fell while I was moving the ssd'd to thier new home on the rack.

The case was painted when I first got it by a buddy of mine who owns a paint and body shop for a 12 pack of Fat Tire beer.

Couldn't be happier with the board. 4.0Ghz stable was almost as easy as throwing an on switch. I've still never really pressed this thing to max overclock, was happy with the speed and stability and have never really asked it for more.
