    I7 920 : Unbelivable !!!

For the past 36 hours I haven't done anything but to tweak my mobo to reach 4 GHz with a C0. I know, difficult and I can vouch for that. Cooling is not an issue for me. 76 C was the highest I had with 1.42V. VX + MX3 + Shroud + 55 lbs pressure, it gives the best temps like this.

I am rock solid stable at 3.8 GHz, 3.85 GHz, 3.9 GHz and 3.95 GHz. I want to hit 4.0 GHz with no significant bandwidth loss. My memory is CL7 rated at 1333 MHz so I am forced to use x6 as a multiplier. Also, I use x19 for the CPU because it needs less voltage than x20 and x21 to be stable at the above mentioned frequencies. In my quest to hit 4.0 GHz, for the last 36 hours, I managed to get this far : IBT, LinX, SuperPi 1.5 X no problems. 1 hour P95 on blend and it crashes. I don't know what else to do without adding 220 V on that CPU . Can anyone shed some light? I would love to get this thing stable without losing too much performance in other areas.

Try lower CPU PLL... higher DRAM voltage.
Make sure it's not RAM or IMC that's unstable.
Also using 19x multiplier is probably a bad idea for a C0.
    Could try different Uncore multi.

Thank you for your reply. My memory is rated at 1.60 V and I am already over that. Don't want to kill the memory, should I got to 1.64? If I go lower on my Uncore Multi, I will have less memory bandwidth than at 3.8 GHz . Indeed, using 20 and 21 will yield other settings and I've tried them but with the lower BCLK everest and MaxMem reports are not encouraging. I even used UnCore x13 (2x +1 ) with x21 multi and I was hitting 14.1 GB/s. With my current settings I am hitting 15.3 GB/s.

You need more IOH core voltage. 1.18 to 1.24 should be ballpark but you may need as high as 1.3. Set performance enhance to at least turbo as well, though extreme should be fine below 210 bclk.

Skews helped stabilise me when going over 215 - it maybe worth a shot - try 0,50 or 50/50. Then again these guys have probably spent more time on this board than me

I did not give up, I am testing now in a different fashion. I took as a base my 3.8 GHz stable settings and I increased the BCLK by 2 MHz every time without touching anything else, and when things started to crash, I would modify the voltage, run Blend, crash, modify the uncore, run blend, crash, etc. The following settings are BLEND stable 100% I stopped the test after 2h30 mins because it was pointless to continue :
