I refuse to participate in any debate with creationists because doing so would give them the "oxygen of respectability" that they want.
Creationists don't mind being beaten in an argument. What matters to them is that I give them recognition by bothering to argue with them in public.
Not V8 nor a typical hotrod at the time.
However a sleeper in its own right. 205horse 248lb of tourque at peak, in the mid 1980's when we had v8's making less power and torque 2x -3x the displacement.

Nice machine in my book. Looks can also be deceiving when judjing one of these, seen them with over 500horse on pump gasoline.
These were cool too. Not your grandfathers taurus.

First through 3rd gen are awesome. 4th gen needs some helping in price range as it sits in the premium price range as far as im concerned.
In any case, as clarkson said Ford is know to bring supercars at supermarket prices.

One word. Subaru.

I loved my second gen. SHO with the Yamaha V6, 5 speed, police suspension package, fog lights, sun roof, jbl sound system, leather very nice for a '94 model
I'm sorry, anything less than a V8 and RWD is not muscle. Performance, yes, but muscle is sheer V8 RWD power

ugh I just seen a nice subaru imprezza with a HUGE Fart can I wanted to throw a brick threw it's back window >_>
I see a lot of those around. Thankfully, not near as many as I did when I was in college, bunch of idiots with crappy old civics and accords with those things strapped to their tailpipe (and the obligatory overly huge and gaudy wing bolted to the trunk lid) flooring it in traffic thinking they were some fast nascar racer or something

I used to drive an impreza around cleveland with a 3" exhaust, going to a 4.78" tip... now why would you throw a brick... my car runs 12s in the quarter mile.. roughly equiv to a non Z06 corvette... but you're right, the stupid loud gas guzzling V8's are definitely better choices..
lol
Was the 4.78" tip just to make it louder ? I'm sure you'll agree that the huge outlet didn't increase performance even the tiniest amount.
I think the old school guys just think it's funny to spend money on novelty items, rather than go fast parts.
I like anything with a turbo.
the tip wont do anything unless its right off the muffler, and then i dont think that it would matter much, especially on a turbo.
i thought of another one.
how about the 240sx (i know not classic but its like 20 years old now), it is just as fast as the NA 3000z, handles better than the z, gets better mpg and u can slap a turbo in it and it will go faster than the z or u can even put nice high compression heads on it and it will run a good 200+HP while having good mileage as its got the nice 2.4L. its the same platform as the silvia in japan (so lots of parts if u want them) but it never got more than being a secretaries car here and the tuners did not kill them all like the other tuner type cars in the US of the late 80's to mid 90's

Would run 13.9's thru the mufflers and did I mention that this was back in 1969?
I remember "walking" a 69 396/375HP Camaro from 30-130 with that little Ford.
Should have seen the guys face!
Next "toy" was much faster but you knew it,not a sleeper at all.

I had a few of those old 60's American Falcons. Had a 61 Ranchero but most fun was the 64 convertible with a 260V8. All the others were I6-170, 200.
You know the first time I took the family Xterra out off road in the snow, I couldn't believe the power coming out of that little V6. It just leaps forward and snow piles 4 feet high were just exploding off the front of it like it was nothing at all. And you have to be careful when starting forward from a complete stop while driving on pavement, it will leap forward and punch you into the seat. I really like that thing... I just hate the MPG and the cramped leg room in the drivers seat. Compared to other SUV's the MPG is actually quite poor, but I love the power!

This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions, twists all our arms collectively, but if sweetness can win, and it can, then I'll still be here tomorrow to high-five you yesterday, my friend. Peace.
you know this has brought me thought now superchargers or turbo/'s ?
what do you think is better ?
The answer is both.
It depends on what you want. If you want instant boost at the expense of a loss in efficiency then a supercharger is what you want.
If you want a more efficient setup but don't care about turbo-lag, then a turbo setup is what you want.
Fold for XS!
You know you want to
